Manchester City will take on Swansea on Wednesday night and if they win, it will be a record 15th victory for the team that will tie them with the Arsenal side of 2002.

Sunday’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United took City 11 points clear in the EPL table after 16 matches, while the Reds remained at the second spot with 35 points.

Speaking ahead of their match, Manchester City’s right-back Kyle Walker said there was no chance of complacency creeping into the Manchester City squad and that he expected his team to continue with the intensity that had helped them win against West Ham, Southampton and Huddersfield.

“We won’t be complacent against Swansea. The senior members of the dressing room and the management definitely won’t let us take it light-heartedly. We need to keep our foot on the gas, keep going and hopefully that will see us through,” he was quoted by www.mancity.com.

With the morale being high after their win against rivals Manchester United, Walker said the team wanted to utilise that against Swansea, who would pose a tough test in front of their own supporters. “It’s going to be difficult. It is always a tough place to go and they play some good football, but we’re full of confidence off the back of the United result and we need to take that confidence into this game,” he was quoted by the team’s official website.
